தற்போதைய காலகட்டத்தில் கணினி சார்ந்த துறைகளில் தமிழ் மொழி மிகுதியாக பயன்படுத்தப்படுகிறது. குறிப்பாக கடந்த சில வருடங்களில் இணையம் மற்றும் தொலைதொடர்பு ஊடகங்களிலும் தமிழ் மொழியின் பயன்பாடு அதிகரித்து வருகிறது.

ஆனாலும் தமிழில் தகவல் பரிமாற்றமும் தமிழ் மென்பொருள்கள் உருவாக்கமும் தேவையான அளவிற்கு வளர்ச்சிபெறவில்லை. ஆர்வமுள்ளவர்கள் அதிக அளவில் இருந்த போதிலும், தமிழ் மொழியில் உள்ளீடு செய்ய தேவையான,எளிய மென்பொருட்களும், வசதிகளும் இல்லாததால் இந்ததேக்க நிலை நிலவுகிறது.

பெரும்பாலான கணினி பயனாளர்கள் தமிழில் தட்டச்சு செய்ய விரும்புவதில்லை. தமிழில் தட்டச்சு செய்வது கடினமானது மற்றும் தேவையில்லாதது என்ற எண்ணம் பரவலாக இருக்கிறது. மாறாக சிலர் ஆங்கிலம் வழியாக தமிழில் தட்டச்சு செய்துவருகிறார்கள். தொடக்கத்தில் இந்த முறை எளிதாக தோன்றினாலும், சிறிது காலத்திற்குபின் இதிலுள்ள கடினங்கள் புலப்படும். சான்றாக, ஒரு தமிழ் வார்த்தைக்கு அதிக ஆங்கில எழுத்துக்கள் தேவைபடுவது, தமிழ் எழுத்துக்கு சரியான ஆங்கில எழுத்துக்களை தேர்ந்தெடுப்பது போன்றவை.

தமிழ்99 அனைத்து உயிர் எழுத்துக்கள் 1 விசை, க,ங,ச,ஞ வரிசை 1விசை, என 31 எழுத்துக்களை ஒரு விசையிலும், மீதமுள்ள 216 எழுத்துக்களையும் இருவிசையில் எழுதலாம். தமிழ் எழுத்துக்கள் 247 ல் எந்த தமிழ் எழுத்தை எழுதவும் இரண்டுக்கு மேற்பட்ட விசைகள் அவசியமில்லை. துணைவிசைகளும் அவற்றுக்கு அவசியமில்லை. கிரந்த எழுத்துக்களான ஸ,ஷ,ஜ,ஹ போன்றவற்றை மட்டுமே துணைவிசை உபயோகித்து எழுத வேண்டும்.

விஞ்ஞானப் பூர்வமான இந்த தமிழ்99 தட்டச்சு முறையால் குறைந்த விசையழுத்த முறைகளில் விரல்களுக்கு எளிமையான வரிசையமைப்பில் அதிக பக்கங்களை அதிக வேகத்தில் அதிக நேரம் கைகளுக்கு களைப்பின்றி தொடர்ச்சியாக தட்டச்சு செய்ய முடியும்…

இம்முறையை கற்றுக் கொள்வதும் எளிமையானது. விசைகளை நினைவில் வைப்பதும் மிகவும் எளிது.

தமிழ்99 விசைபலகை முறையில் தட்டச்சுப்பழக பலகை என்ற இணையவிசைபலகை உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இதன் உதவியுடன் எளிதாக,விரைவாக தமிழ் தட்டச்சு பழக முடியும்.

A realistic animation effects (Wave,Rain,Wind etc) are very easy to create using Flex. Degrafa geometries will help to make it more realistic.

This post describes the steps to create a wave effect in a picture.

Original Image:

Firstly, select a clear picture of water source(Sea Shore, River, Falls etc). In this example picture of sunset in a sea shore is selected. Identify the area in the picture where the effect will be applied. The area should contain only water image without any other objects.
Add an image control(id=originalImage) to a canvas and embed the selected image with it.

Mask Image:
Add another image control(id=maskedImage) and embed the same image. Set scaleX,scaleY properties to 1.1 and 1.01 respectively. Position the image just few pixels left to the original image. This scale should not deflect much with original images. Add source mask id in Mask attribute(mask=”{maskGroup}”).

Mask Area:

Add a Degrafa Surface with GeometryGroup (id=”maskGroup”). In creationComplete event, an array of RegularRectangle will be added to this mask area. Width of rectangles should be same as width of the waves. The rectangles should be spread across the wave height.

Animating Waves:

In enterFrame event, the position of the rectangles will be changed in y direction. If any rectangle reaches the border it should repositioned to the starting value.

This will make a wave effect in the picture. The position and the speed of waves can be changed as required for the image. Commonly there will be a lot of iterations to determine the values for making a nice realistic effect.

‘Mask’ is a significant functionality especially in animation applications. I am always happy to play with masking option for developing interesting stuffs.

Degrafa simplifies my tasks and helps me to develop more effective animation solutions. Degrafa is a best graphics framework which provides a lot of graphic functionalities for Flex developers. Whenever I try to implement a graphics function in Flex, I find it in Degrafa. And masking is one of the function which I recently noticed in Degrafa.

Here I just implemented a spotlight text effect using Degrafa in Flex. Few years before,I developed the same application using Flash without any scripts. But this time I feel that the application is more flexible and simple to develop.
